Syntrix Biosystems is currently seeking an entry level scientist to be part of a team that develops novel therapeutics in the areas of oncology and immunology.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Other duties may be assigned)

• Laboratory scale synthesis and purification of pharmaceutical intermediates
• Analysis of intermediates by HPLC, NMR, and mass spectrometry
• Critical analysis of current scientific literature
• Chemical inventory maintenance

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• B.S. in Chemistry or Biochemistry.
• Strong background in organic chemistry as evidenced by exemplary academic achievement
• Experience with HPLC, NMR and mass spectrometry
• Proficient in general laboratory techniques and standard office software applications.
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills to support positive interaction with fellow laboratory members.
• The ideal candidate will have a history of scientific success, be team oriented and able to work independently
