Syntrix Biosystems announces the award of
a grant from the
National Institutes of Health (NIH) to support Phase 2 clinical
trials of aminopterin in psoriasis
Auburn, WA, September 1,
2006. Syntrix Biosystems announced today the receipt of a
grant from the National Institute of Health (NIH)
totaling $800,000. The grant was awarded
under the Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) program, and
will be used to fund a Phase 2 trial of aminopterin in psoriasis.
The awarded grants will expand work by the company in bringing
aminopterin to market.

President and CEO of Syntrix Biosystems, commented that "the new
support from the NIH is an important step towards
developing aminopterin for the treatment of millions who suffer from
psoriasis."
